RecruitNY weekend

In an effort to increase the ranks of our volunteer fire and emergency medical service agencies, several Ulster County departments are participating in a statewide open house to be held the weekend of April 27 & 28. As part of the FASNY (Firemen's Association of the State of New York) Recruit NY program, the following organizations will hold open houses that weekend:

Big Indian Fire Department, April 27, 10 AM to 2 PM

Esopus Fire Department, April 28, 10 AM to 2 PM

Hurley Fire Department, April 27, 10 AM to 4 PM

Lomontville Fire Department, April 27 & 28, 10 AM to 3 PM

Napanoch Fire Department, April 27, 10 AM to 2 PM

Port Ewen Fire Department, April 27, 10 AM to 2 PM

Rifton Fire Department, April 28, Noon to 4 PM

Spring Lake Fire Department, April 27, all day

Events vary from station to station, but most will include demonstrations and have personnel available to describe the work of the fire and EMS services.

Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents

There will be a one night course - Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents - on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 1900 to 2200 hours. The class will be given at the Ulster Fire Rescue Training Center.
