All fire departments and EMS agencies across the county are being urged to hold an open house on Sunday October 4, 2009 from 1 PM to 3 PM (this date coincides with the first day of Fire Prevention Week). The Ulster County Recruitment and Retention committee asks for your cooperation and urges you to use this opportunity to not only spread the word about fire safety, but to show your community your facilities, your equipment, and your most valuable resource - your people. Please have firefighters and EMS providers available to explain the workings of your organization and to encourage open house visitors to apply for membership. Thank you.
